Untitled "picturesque textured improvisation" Mikhail Tarkhanov.

Untitled "picturesque textured improvisation"

[Moscow?]: the artist, no date. Mikhail Tarkhanov invented a medium of his own using colored starch to create vivid abstract compositions. He studied at Vkhutemas, the "Russian Bauhaus" that thrived in Moscow between 1920 and 1930. 43 x 31 cm on lightweight paper. This is one of six varied works in different sizes. They frequently are unsigned, as are these, but they come with an irreproachable provenance. Please inquire for images of the others or a price for the whole group. The colors of the original are more subtle than on my screen, and perhaps yours. **Free domestic shipping with direct order. Item #100785
