Museum restoration hanging
Hidden Hills, California: the artist, 1979. Artists' book. 21 leaves photocopied one side only from the artist's holograph text and drawings and from two typed documents. Velobound with transparent covers. 23 x 21.7 cm. Two copies located at Getty and Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. OCLC locates it as a companion to a suite of original lithographs by the artist titled "8." The text and 14 illlustrations describe the processes comprise "a workbook compiled by the artist to teach herself the necessary techniques used to complete the current suite of lithographs." OCLC does not list this publication separately. I have encountered two separate copies within the last few years. Both were in the collections of artists she would have known. I can speculate that she printed extra copies to give to interested friends. The cost would have been trivial.
