Simon Lissim was a remarkably talented Russian artist whose work included painting, illustration, theatre design, and ceramics. He lived in Paris in the 1920s and 1930s and was closely associated with Diaghilev, Bakst, Benois, and many others. His work is full of Orientalist themes. Some wear to covers and extremities, and top corner bumped. The name Simon Lissim has been written lightly in ballpoint pen on the lower spine. Many pages unopened. Item #20301
