Michaux was a Belgian-born artist and poet. His travels as a young man in Asia and elsewhere influenced his later work, as did his experiences with LSD and mescaline. He was an early practitioner of automatic writing and was claimed by the Surrealists as one of their own. The pair sold as a lot. Item #22731
