[Romans, France?]: Charles Jourdan Shoe Museum, 1984. Poster in black on off-white wove paper. 40.1 x 55.9 cm / 16 x 22 in. During his early years as a fashion illustrator, Andy Warhol did many highly stylized drawings of shoes. This poster advertising the Shoe Museum of the famous designer Charles Jourdan bears only the notice "©1984 Andy Warhol" and no publisher's or printer's name. Those absences and the even size in inches suggests American manufacture. Good used condition, as follows: a crisp image on paper with light browning at edges; tiny pinholes in all corners; wear at edges; upper right corner turned and two shallow creases along right edge and another near top edge; a few tiny, pale marks. Framed, it will look splendid. Signed "Andy Warhol 1984" within the printed image. From the collection of Helene Verin. Item #34281
