The first issue of an excellent but short-lived publication on the latest in world architecture. Texts in Italian, English, French, and German, depending roughly on the locations of projects discussed; those in other languages, like Swedish or Japanese, appear in English. The volume covers 38 worldwide projects, with several pages devoted to each. They include Frank Lloyd Wright's Marin County Civic Center (also on the dustjacket), Bertrand Goldberg's Marina City in Chicago, Eero Saarinen's CBS Skyscraper in New York, Le Corbusier's Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts at Harvard University, and Craig Ellwood's Rosen House in Los Angeles. The top 1 inch of the spine and the dustjacket are broken and torn off. This does not affect the use of the book, which is solid and fresh internally.
