Artforum. Vol. XI (11), nos. 1-10 complete. September 1972-June 1973. As new, bound

New York: Charles Cowles, 1972-1973. This bound volume contains all the year's exceptional issues. Some highlights: September 1972 (11:1) Rosenquist, Matisse, Lissitzky. October (11:2) Oldenburg, Smithson, Larry Bell. November (11:3) di Suvero, photography, Smithson, Pollock Hesse, Man Ray. December (11:4) Bochner, Schlemmer, performance, Man Ray. January 1973 (11:5) film issue: "Eisenstein/Brakhage). February (11:6) Joseph Cornell, Sam Francis, Robert Morris, Lucinda Childs, Miro, Olmsted, Lewitt. March (11:7) Muybridge (with cover), Hodler, Nauman. April (11:8) Agnes Martin, JanDibbets, de Stijl. May (11:9) dedicated to Robert Goldwater: Ernst, Meredith Monk, Picasso (with cover). The volume ends in June (11:10) de stijl ( part 2), Haacke, Stella. All the above probably represent not more than 20% of the 60+ pages in this volume. This new, never-sold copy is bound in dark-green library buckram to my own specifications that allow all the pages to open up fully with no loss at the very narrow gutters and margins. At the time of their binding, each issue was selected specifically for pristine condition. Since there are three identical copies available at the moment, the current price is set at a ridiculously low $150. The price will climb to a more plausible level after this one is sold. Postage for this heavy volume will be about $75 for most foreign orders; for domestic shipments by media mail, please allow $8. Most issues of Artforum available from 1962 to 1980. Item #69021
