Dot Zero 1. Robert Malone, ed.
Dot Zero 1

Dot Zero 1

The 1st of 5 issues. Profusely illustrated in black and white. 48 pp. Designed white paper covers. 30.6 x 23.5 cm. A design magazine; contributions in this issue by leading figures, including Marshall McLuhan, Maurice Constant, Bruno Munari, Martin Krampman, Eugene Feldman, Bror Zachrisson, Arthur Drexler, and Douglas MacAgy. The stiff white covers of this issue each bear an embossed zero with a dot in its center. The issue was designed by Massimo Vignelli. Both covers are double gatefolds; the outer panel folds inside the volume. A legend at the top of the rear end panel reads: “Important! Unless you return this card, we cannot guarantee you will receive Dot Zero again." The perforated card at the bottom of the panel has been removed by its former owner. This copy has been exposed to moisture and is somewhat rippled throughout but with no stuck pages. The front cover bears some light foxing and a couple of small stains; the rear one is stained and has a raised crease across its mid-section. A vertical mark at the upper edge of the rear cover is a pen mark, not a tear or cut; the broad, shadows across the covers are from the scan, not extensive surface soil. Priced accordingly. **Free domestic shipping with direct order. Item #71852
