Description

Artist's book. Profusely illustrated. Approximately 100 pp. 23.4 x 30.4 cm. (oversquare). Bound at the short edge with staples and capped with a sliding black plastic spine. This inventive and alarming catalogue opens with a sheet of heavy, very flexible clear plastic. A clear, sealed polyvinyl envelope follows. It contains a poisonous-looking mixture of flakes of metal (aluminum?) and dark-brown grains (perhaps as innocent as coffee grounds?). The words "Addictions" is printed or stamped crudely on the envelope. A label reads "Do not cut, fold or mutilate - materials inside this page may be toxic." Next is a conventional title page followed by text interleaved with a sheet of textured gold paper and other unprinted pages, including carbon paper. The main body contains works and statements by 24 artists, including Scott Grieger, Ben Sakoguchi, Alexis Smith, and others. Several related items laid in. **Free domestic shipping with direct order.
