TERMS & SHIPPING
Payment may be by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx), by Paypal, or by check or money order in US funds on a US bank. Wire transfers are preferable for very expensive items. For credit cards, please supply your billing address if it differs from the shipping address.
Libraries and institutions may be billed.
Sales tax must be collected for purchases within California.
All shipments are packed with care and attention.
Shipments customarily go out within one to three business days. UPS is preferable for most domestic parcels valued at over $200 and to some nearby locations. Many items have free shipping, as noted in the descriptions. When shipping is not free (typically for large, inexpensive items), we charge only the actual costs.
All overseas shipments are by air, as the U.S. Postal Service no longer has surface mail to other countries. Small, light items usually are least expensive by First Class Mail International. Larger items must go by Priority International or UPS. Please consult http://ircalc.usps.gov/ for international rates. If you enter any package value for your own country, you can then click on "Price charts and complete information" for that country and compare the various possibilities. Some countries have low insurance limits for mail.
Overseas purchasers are responsible for all Customs charges and duties (UPS delivery includes Customs clearance). Please inquire if in doubt.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
Items may be returned for any reason within a week of receipt. They must be in the same condition as received; if damaged in transit, all packing must be included. Please call or write before making any returns, and please pack carefully.
